Growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Nathan Mielke has been in love with filmmaking since first getting his hands on a camcorder in middle school. While attending undergrad film school, he discovered his passion for cinematography and visual storytelling. This led to winning his first cinematography award for the award winning short film JITENSHA. Upon graduation, he started working at the camera rental house Panavision. Nathan shot his first feature in 2013, a low budget horror/slasher, MADE ME DO IT. He graduated from the American Film Institute with a MFA in cinematography in 2017.
